Aloha,

We here at Sweet Trade Tattoo are all safe, but brokenhearted. Lahaina town was completely destroyed in the fires that took place on 8/8/2023. Recovery in the town will take anywhere from 2 to 5 years. The hotels in Kaanapali will probably reopen for tourism between 3 and 6 months. Sweet Trade Tattoo will still be here in the future.

For the moment, we plan to open 5 days a week. Tuesday – Saturday. We will be offering free Lahaina Strong & Maui Strong tattoos to residents as our way to give back to the community who has always supported us.  We wish to offer some hope & healing. We ask that anyone getting a free maui strong tattoo from us please consider donating to @lahaina_ohana_venmo

If you are unable to donate, that’s okay.

Sweet Trade Tattoo will reopen to normal hours in the future, when it is appropriate. The amount of damage and loss in life in Lahaina is staggering, and we cannot in good conscience, return to normal business in this moment.

The community of Maui & the people of Hawaii have shown their true character by coming together and immediately supporting each other in every way imaginable.
